Learning Systems for Distributed Organizations

I help organizations build scalable training systems for staff and volunteer leaders working across regions or large networks.

In my role as Global Director of Learning & Development at The Sunrise Project, I built a learning program serving a global staff team of 160+ people. The program included strategy development courses, leadership cohorts, facilitation and feedback trainings, and onboarding programs across multiple regions.

PL+US (Paid Leave U.S.) — National Advocate Training Program
Designed a training program that prepared advocates who successfully improved paid leave policies for more than 14,000 workers.

Chan Zuckerberg Initiative — Movement Capacity Building
Built a national trainer network providing coaching and training to more than 1,200 movement organizations.

 

Leadership Program Design

I design leadership programs that help organizations develop strong leaders and aligned teams. Engagements often include multi-session learning cohorts, coaching, live training sessions, and facilitator guides that allow organizations to sustain leadership development internally.

Example Projects

Sunrise Project — Global Strategy Learning Program
Designed and facilitated seven cohort groups in a custom 10-week strategy development course for global staff working on climate campaigns.

Everytown for Gun Safety — National Leadership Training Program
Designed a national training program for thousands of volunteer leaders including onboarding curriculum, trainer training, and a national conference (“Gun Sense University”).

Signature Leadership Programs

In addition to designing custom leadership programs, I facilitate two established programs that organizations can bring in for their staff or leadership cohorts.

Leading Together
Leadership Development Program (8-month virtual or hybrid program)
A cohort-based leadership program focused on building reflective, collaborative leaders. Topics include self-awareness, coaching skills, facilitation, conflict resolution, decision-making, and communication.

Campaign Strategy Lab
2–3 month virtual program
A strategy course for senior campaign strategists working on complex advocacy campaigns. The program supports leaders in sharpening campaign design, strategic decision-making, and collaboration across teams.

Leadership Coaching (Optional Support)
Some leadership programs include individual or small-group coaching to help leaders apply new skills, reflect on their leadership practice, and integrate learning into their day-to-day work.

Retreat Facilitation and Trainer Training

I design and facilitate retreats, strategy sessions, and trainer trainings that help teams align around priorities, strengthen relationships, and build facilitation capacity.
